Mark Nomad
Special Acoustic Set at the Entrance Gate - Mark Nomad began playing the blues in the 1960's and by the 70's, was sharing the concert stage with many of the biggest names in show business. He was a founder of the original Little Village. Their debut album is considered a collector's item and the band was legendary in the Northeast. Nomad penned a jingle for Subway fast food chain in their early days that helped the company grow. Another composition was used as the theme for a major New York radio station for 10 years. Nomad has performed at venues such as the Bottom Line, House of Blues, Toad's Place, China Club, Iron Horse and scores of colleges and blues festivals. The Nomad moniker was born in Chicago when he sat in with the Jimmy Johnson Band at B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted Street.

The Evan Goodrow Band
If James Brown had a white son who cut his teeth playing in Steely Dan along with Prince and Jimi Hendrix…you might get something remotely like Evan Goodrow, a soul-singing, blues guitar playing powerhouse. The EGB is one of the tightest funk quartets on the scene and they hand-deliver musical diversity, including New Orleans style soul, acoustic ballads, and full out Philadelphia funk dance music. Credits include playing with (or backing up) B.B. King, G.E. Smith, Entrain, Gordon Beadle and Bruce Katz.

The Racky Thomas Band
The Racky Thomas Band hails from Boston, but plays the blues as though they came right out of post-war Chicago or the Mississippi delta. They have received widespread critical praise in local, national, and international blues publications, as well as worldwide radio airplay of their two most recent self-produced CDs: Last Of The Big Spenders, and Troubled All The Time. Winner of Boston’s prestigious Battle of the Blues Bands in 1997, the band has opened for blues greats Luther ‘Guitar’ Jr. Johnson, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, Paul Rishell & Annie Raines, and Susan Tedeschi.

Roomful of Blues
The great Count Basie called them "the hottest blues band I've ever heard.” DownBeat said the band is “in a class by itself.” Without a doubt, Roomful of Blues is all this and more. Among many other nods from the music industry, Roomful of Blues won the 2005 W.C. Handy Blues Award for Blues Instrumentalist-Horns, and in 2004 they picked up both the coveted 2004 Blues Award for “Band of the Year” and the Blues Instrumentalist-Horns award. With an almost non-stop performance schedule for the last 36 years, Roomful of Blues has earned critical, popular and radio success and a legion of fans around the globe. Twice, the prestigious DownBeat International Critics Poll selected Roomful of Blues as Best Blues Band. They joined the Alligator Records family with THAT'S RIGHT! in 2003. The CD received massive amounts of praise and received another Grammy nomination.

Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood
Jeff Pitchell is an internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. His CD Heavy Hitter reached #7 on the Billboard Charts, outselling Delbert McClinton, Robert Cray, Etta James, Johnny Lee Hooker & Muddy Waters. A dynamic stage presence, Jeff has performed and/or recorded with the likes of Rick Derringer, Bo Diddley, BB King, Buddy Guy, Ted Nugent, Clarence Clemons, Dave Mason, and James Cotton... to name just a few. In addition to appearing at well-known venues across the US, he was selected by the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox to sing “God Bless America” at Fenway Park in front of nationwide radio and TV audience. Texas Flood consists of Deric Dyer (12 years with Tina Turner) on sax; Ivan Santiago (toured with Sheila E & Carlos Santana) on percussion; John Peckman (8 to the Bar) on drums, Ken Kosicki (Wild Cherry, Vanilla Fudge, Dion) on bass; and Bob Marston (Kman Band) on B3 organ. These seasoned musicians unite to bring a high energy mix of Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Soul, and funky Texas Blues.

The Installers with Jay Geils
The Installers are well known to BluesNBrews Festival fans, having appeared in the lineup more times than any other band in the festival's history! They first attracted the attention of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee Jay Geils in 2004, when he offered to produce their CD, Nail It! Since then Jay and The Installers have collaborated on a number of special performances at events and central MA venues, to the continuing delight of local blues fans. For the 2007 BluesNBrews Festival, Jay Geils and The Installers will be featuring Jay's CLASSIC blues music... all the good old tunes from waaayyyyy back! This is the kind of music you don't hear on radio, folks... don't miss it!
